Who we are

Our founder Edward Latymer set the tone back in 1624 with his act of philanthropy and a strong social conscience remains part of the School’s DNA. The objective of the Latymer Foundation (registered charity no. 312714) is to promote the education of boys and girls by the maintenance of a school or schools in the London Borough of Hammersmith.

Latymer takes its responsibility for being a good community partner seriously.  With relationships with 250  local state-maintained primary and secondary schools and charitable organisations, the ISC (Independent Schools Council) reports that our partnership schemes impact around 1,000 state school children every year.

We work hard to establish and maintain these relationships and were proud to have had our work recognised by TES (Times Educational Supplement) when we won the ‘Independent-State School Partnerships Award’ in 2018.
