Become a Bursaries Appeal Volunteer

October 5, 2018

The ultimate aim of the Inspiring Minds campaign is to raise £40m by 2024, which will be unachievable without the help of our fantastic volunteers.

Our ambition is to be able to fund bursaries for 1 in 4 students at Latymer. This  would make us one of the top independent schools for bursary provision in the UK.

The new intake of Year 7 is the most inclusive year group yet, with 18% in receipt of a bursary.

5 reasons to become a Bursaries Appeal volunteer…

  1. It’s a fun way to meet other Latymer parents, alumni and former parents, who live in the local area and share the same passion for ensuring bright students from every socio-economic background have the opportunity to study together at Latymer
  2. You can help in a variety of different ways dependent on your preference, whether that’s by contributing your expertise, attending meetings and giving us vital feedback on our fundraising activity, helping out at events or with our mailings by joining us for some envelope stuffing at busy times of the year
  3. A huge part of our fundraising is our events programme, and you can attend and assist at a variety of exciting events. Highlights over the past year include our fundraising run, talks with brilliant and engaging speakers, wine tastings and tours of London’s most well-known museums.
  4. You can do as much or as little as you feel like. We don’t ask for a certain threshold of commitment, only that you make a donation to the Bursaries Appeal, be it large or small, and encourage your fellow parents to do so too!
  5. Be involved in Latymer’s most ambitious campaign to date, and help us to make a difference!
