26th January 2021 from 7-8pm
Zoom: Evening Talk
Join Britain’s best known legal commentator, Joshua Rozenberg, in an interview with Paul Goldsmith, Latymer teacher of Economics and Politics, to discuss his latest book, Enemies of the People? How Judges Shape Society. Senior judges were shocked to see themselves condemned after a court ruling on Brexit. Joshua Rozenberg explains how judges make laws and whether they can maintain public confidence whilst making hard choices.
After Oxford, Joshua qualified as a solicitor. He is the only legal journalist to have been appointed Queen’s Counsel honoris causa.
He has written for the Law Society Gazette, newspapers and appears regularly on Sky News and BBC news outlets.
Joshua was the BBC’s legal correspondent for 15 years and returned in 2010 to present the popular Radio 4 series, Law in Action.
In 2012, he was the only journalist to be included in The Times list of the UK’s 100 most influential lawyers.
Joshua is well respected for his independence and ability to explain complex legal issues with simplicity and wit.
