A Festive Evening of Musicals and Jazz!

Don't miss this magical evening of Musicals and Jazz with super talented Imogen Parry (Class of 2013) and Mark Wallace (Head of Economics, LUS).

With all your favourites from stage and screen along with timeless winter classics, this evening promises to be a truly festive way to close the autumn term and really get you in the Christmas spirit - don't miss it!

After graduating from the University of Glasgow in 2018 with a degree in Theatre Studies and Comparative Literature Imogen joined The Swingles, a five time grammy award winning London-based music group. The Swingles have appeared on numerous film and TV soundtracks, including The Two Popes, Sex and the City, Wedding Crashers and Glee and the group’s versatility has led to collaborations with artists as diverse as the Modern Jazz Quartet, Jamie Cullum and Labrinth Berio.

Imogen has also performed in numerous musicals  during her exchange year at Boston College, including Guys and Dolls, The Last Five Years, Titanic, Bat Boy, Urinetown, Assassins, What Every Girl Should Know, Spring Awakening and Evita. She also spent a summer on the West End with the National Youth Music Theatre, as an actor-musician in Howard Goodall’s The Hired Man

Mark has been Head of Economics at LUS since 1999. As a pianist he has accompanied many of the UK’s jazz legends such as Digby Fairweather and Roy Williams as well as working with singers such as Wendy Neiper. He was also the conductor of a number of chamber choirs including The Aston University Chrous.
