(Class of 2011)

Nkenna was "ridiculously excited" about attending the sixth form open evening and "overwhelmed" by the possibilities available to her. She loved being in a place "where the diversity that abounds from intellectual freedom is celebrated" and went on to study at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire.

Whilst in the US, Nkenna served on US Friends of Latymer Board, raising funds for other students to come here. She has just been awarded one of two places on Brown University's Playwriting MFA course.

"Without the bursary I recieved, my aspirations would not have been realised, and I wouldn't be the person I am today. Latymer invoked ambition within me and a greater sense of pride in my abilities. The love of learning is prevalent, it is in the air and everyone benefits from it.

Before I came here, I would not have imagined my life to be what it is now: the people I have met, the experiences I have had, the ways I have learnt and grown... I will always feel fortunate to be an alumna of Latymer Upper School."
