On Sunday 6 November 2022, we held a special boat naming ceremony at Latymer’s Boat Club on Upper Mall.
The ceremony was in honour of Martin Wade (1961), former School Captain and Captain of one of Latymer’s most successful rowing teams to date.
We have been so pleased to be able to recognise Martin’s invaluable support of Latymer in this most fitting way.
Alongside Martin and his family, we were pleased to welcome his Latymerian friends, Hugh Burkitt (1963), Con Metreweli (1961), and Tony Willats (1962) to the ceremony.
Our new Empacher boat will be for Latymer’s first-ever Girls’ Eight – and the Boat Club have high hopes for its future performance!
